Melbourne great David Schwarz says he won't lose sleep over comments from Richmond coach Damien Hardwick and has doubled down on his criticism of "boofhead" Tom Lynch.
Schwarz was one of a number of media commentators who Hardwick took aim at during a press conference on Thursday afternoon, saying his former rival needs to "have a look at himself".

Amid a lengthy defence of Lynch, the dual premiership Tigers coach called back to the 2000 Grand Final, when he was playing for Essendon against Schwarz' Demons.

"Apparently it matters if you cry."

Schwarz had said Lynch's recent spike in on-field aggression put him in line for "goose of the year", saying the star forward is "not tough" and needs to "stop trying to be something you're not".

He added on Thursday: "I don't back down from one thing I've said about Tom Lynch. He can play the game. But this wasn't about last weekend. This has been a month…
