SA HUB OFF THE AGENDA FOR 2020 – BUT GAMES AREN'T DEAD IN THE WATER

South Australia's health minister Stephen Wade has all but slammed the door shut on an AFL hub in the state, declaring the state will look after itself during the COVID-19 virus.

However, the Crows and Power won't be stuck interstate for the rest of the season.

Foxfooty.com.au understands the SA government is more likely to allow teams to fly in and fly out of the state, once they've quarantined in New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia.

It means Power and Crows home games aren't off the agenda.

"We were planning to lift the border restrictions, recent circumstances means we won't get there. We will open the borders when it is safe to do so," he said on SEN SA Breakfast.

"There won't be a hub in South Australia this year and that's disappointing. But public health has come first, we are already seeing state to state transmission and we don't want AFL to be a bridge to that.
