The 15-year-old, who is second in line to the throne, is starting at Denmark's oldest boarding school Herlufsholm, today.

He was joined by his parents Princess Mary, 49, and Prince Frederick, 53, yesterday as he adjusted to his new surroundings and met his classmates at the private day and boarding school by the River Suså in Næstved, located south of Copenhagen.

The three royal family members posed for a collection of photographs to celebrate the occasion, which were then shared to the Danish household's social media accounts.
