The squeeze at GWS is set to be on again with a number of clubs circling a young gun.

Midfielder Jye Caldwell remains without a contract for 2021 and beyond, with the 2018 No.11 draft pick in the mix to return back to Victoria at the end of the season.

The 19-year-old has played 10 games for the Giants, but has been unable to regularly break into the club's best 22, given their strong midfield dominance.

According to 7 News reporter Tom Browne, Essendon and St Kilda are among the clubs chasing the Bendigo Pioneers product.
