Greg Inglis has refused to rule out a return to the Kangaroos later this year as he gets set for pre-season duties with English Super League club Warrington.

Inglis last year shocked rugby league fans when he announced he was coming out of retirement to play in the Super League in 2021 after bowing out of the NRL in 2019.

The 34-year-old arrived in England five days ago with his mindset focused on how he can add value to his new squad.

Inglis revealed that despite not expecting to be at 100 per cent for the opening rounds of the competition, his aim is to be firing by the back end of the season.

"I won't be back to 100% until round five or six," Inglis told reporters.

"That's what the expectation on myself is. I'm gradually going to build. It's been a long time since I've been out of the game."
