Having been beaten by a superior South African side in their first ICC Men's T20 World Cup warm-up fixture, Afghanistan would like to get a win under their belt when they face the West Indies in a practice game at the ICC Academy in Dubai tonight. This will also be the final warm-up game for both Afghanistan and West Indies before the Super-12 stage which starts on October 23. Defending champions the West Indies are coming into this game after suffering a heavy seven-wicket defeat at the hands of Pakistan. For the West Indies, the onus will be to fix the top three after Lendl Simmons and Chris Gayle wasted more balls than they scored against Pakistan while Andre Fletcher was out cheaply. Although Roston Chase fell for just nine, the likes of Shimron Hetmyer and captain Kieron Pollard looked decent in the middle-order. As far as the bowling is concerned, West Indies surely need to find their line and length. Hayden Walsh (Jr) bagged two wickets against Pakistan but was guilty of leaking 40-plus runs.
