In a major multi-state operation, Delhi Police's Special Cell has busted a Pakistan-organised terror module that was planning attacks on Navratri and Ramlila. Six, including two Pakistan-trained suspected terrorists, have been arrested.
The Delhi Police's Special Cell has busted a Pakistan-organised terror module and arrested six, including two Pakistan-trained suspected terrorists, officials said on Tuesday.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pramod Singh Kushwah said, "Pakistan-organised terror module has been busted."

RDX-fitted IEDs (improvised explosive device) have been recovered from them in a multi-state operation, the Delhi Police said.

The Delhi Police said that the group was planning to carry out major attacks in Maharashtra, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh during Navratri and Ramlila.

Officials said that the possibility of political rallies in Uttar Pradesh, that is slated to go to polls next year, being targeted cannot be ruled out.

The six arrested terrorists have been identified as - Jan Mohammed Sheikh from Maharashtra, Osama Sami from Delhi, Lala from UP's Rae Bareily, Zeeshan from UP's Prayagraj, Mohd Amir Javed from Lucknow. Osama and Jeeshan have been trained in Pakistan, Delhi Police said.
