Packline Materials Handling Announce The Production Of Their New Stainless Lifting Equipment For Handling Rolls Of Film Or Foil In A Confined Space With Limited Access
New to Packline Materials Handling and Ultrasource LLC, the roll handling equipment and vertical spindle attachment with bespoke compact design was designed in response to a customer requirement in the food industry to handle rolls of film or foil in a confined space with limited and restricted access to the mandrel load point on the packaging machine. Constructed from stainless steel, this roll handling solution is suitable for clean room high care environments such as the food and drinks industries.
The Stainless Roll Handling Equipment with Compact Design for confined spaces is the ideal solution to increase efficiency and improve health and safety conditions. The packaging machines are inside glass enclosures restricting the access of the lifter itself to the load point. In addition, a low ceiling height and narrow aisles restrict access and manoeuvrability. Furthermore, the packaging machine load point mandrel is within a narrow, hard to reach access point. The frame of the lifter was lowered, and the handlebars have been narrowed to ensure easy access and turning within the restricted space. The vertical spindle attachment is equipped with a longer reach mechanism to achieve an easy reach into the narrow entry access to the mandrel load point. The vertical spindle encompasses a bespoke angled block to extend the reach of the attachment. The vertical spindle attachment has a gearbox with manual handwheel for the rotation to and from the vertical to horizontal orientations. A further handwheel provides the reel gripping and release action. The rolls are securely gripped by the core. This mechanism has a torque limiter fitted so that the…
