The Utah senator pushed back against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas about the surge in migrants at the southern border, calling for an answer to the situation.
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) accused Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas Thursday of playing down what Romney called "an extraordinary crisis" at the southern border.

"Do you recognize this as an alarming crisis?" Romney asked Mayorkas during a Senate Homeland Security Committee meeting, gesturing to a chart showing a massive increase in apprehensions after President Biden took office in January.
