Coaches and athletes must be tested for COVID-19 before being allowed on campus to resume sports conditioning on Nov. 2.
Athletes and coaches in the Los Angeles Unified School District would be allowed to begin voluntary sports conditioning at school sports facilities on Nov. 2, according to tentative plans released Thursday by athletics coordinator Trent Cornelius during a videoconference with athletic directors.

Athletes and coaches would have to pass a mandated COVID-19 test to be allowed on campus. Coaches would be able to hold tryouts and conditioning for all sports using fields and outdoor courts if the plan is approved by LAUSD.
