Texas Governor Greg Abbott, along with many others, are taking issue with Joe Biden's plan to "transition" away from the oil industry.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbot lashed out at Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden after he make remarks about the oil industry during his final debate with President Donald Trump. He was one of many who lambasted the former vice president for his alarming comments on oil.

When the two candidates were debating on climate change, Biden declared that if elected, he would "transition away from the oil industry." Trump responded, "Oh, that's a big statement."

Kristen Welker, the moderator, then asked the Democratic candidate why he would make such a move. "Because the oil industry pollutes significantly. It has to be replaced by renewable energy over time and to the oil industry, I'd stop giving them federal subsidies. He won't give federal subsidies to solar and wind, why are we giving it to the oil industry?"…
