This sucks. This sucks really bad.
Mike Soroka exited the game on Monday after a pop in his lower leg put the young star on his knees next to the mound. The initial assumption was that Soroka had torn his Achilles tendon while attempting to cover first base. The club has yet to confirm the diagnosis, but the Braves are likely to be without their young ace for an extended period based on his reaction. This is just devastating news for Soroka, the Braves, and baseball as a whole as one of the best young arms in the majors will be sidelined for a complete freak injury. Prayers for Mike in his recovery.
