Two Washington, DC insiders on Friday made a strong argument that Donald Trump needs to be investigated for crimes committed while he was attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

Former Deputy Attorney General Donald Ayer served under Republican Presidents George H.W. Bush and Ronald Reagan. Former Obama "ethics czar" Norm Eisen also served as special impeachment counsel during Trump's first impeachment trial. The two teamed up to pen an analysis for CNN.
