Pricing! 992-gen Porsche 911 GT3 blasts into South Africa

The seventh iteration (992) Porsche 911 GT3 has touched down on South African shores, available with the option of Porsche's dual-clutch, PDK transmission or – for the purists – a six-speed manual cog-swapper.
The local arm of the Zuffenhausen-based firm has now listed the pricing for its free-breathing super sportscar.

So, what sort of pricing are we looking at here? Equipped with either PDK or manual transmission, the first production GT-badged 992-generation 911 to come from Porsche's GT department starts from R3 109 000. A three-year/100 000 km maintenance plan is included as standard with the latter pricing. Upgrade to the five-year/100 000 km maintenance plan and the new GT3 comes in at R3 159 000.

As a reminder, the 992 GT3 is endowed with Porsche's horizontally opposed atmospheric six-cylinder motor, directing 375 kW and 470 N.m of torque to the rear axle through either of the aforementioned transmissions. The high-revving (up to 9 000 r/min) flat-six powertrain, Porsche says, is based on that powering the 911 GT3 R race car.

Equipped with the PDK transmission, the 992 GT3 sprints from zero to 100 km/h and zero to 200 km/h…
